Η ICANN μού στέλνει ένα Whois Data Reminder

Σύμφωνα με τους κανόνες της ICANN, οι registrars είναι υποχρεωμένοι να στέλνουν τακτικά (1 φορά τον χρόνο) ένα email με τα τρέχοντα στοιχεία με τα οποία είναι καταχωρισμένο ένα domain. Δεν το κάνουν πάντως όλοι οι registrars το ίδιο αυστηρά.

Αυτό το email είναι σωστό και επομένως έγκυρο. Ποτέ όμως μην απαντάτε σε τέτοια email. Δεν χρειάζεται. Αν τα στοιχεία στο email δεν είναι απολύτως σωστά, μπορείτε να τα διορθώσετε μέσω της περιοχής πελατών μας.

Το email μπορεί να μοιάζει έτσι:

This message is a reminder to help you keep the contact data associated with your domain registration up-to-date.
According to ICANN's Whois Data Reminder Policy, a registrar must present, at least annually, to the registrant the current Whois information, and remind the registrant that provision of false Whois information can be grounds for cancellation of their domain name registration. Registrants must review their Whois data and make any corrections, if necessary.
